Tradesman Tavern: Reviews & Ratings
This place has been closed forever. My wife and I were riding our bikes to another establishment down the street when we realized it was open. So we figured why not, let's try it. We walked in and the first thing i noticed was how clean the place is. Not very bar like being so clean. We sat down and were immediately greeted by the bartender. I forgot her name, but she was great! We both ordered smash burgers. They came out with fries. Everything on the plate was delicious. My wife is the pickiest eater on this planet, and she loved it. It was maybe $10-12 per burger, i think. We loved it so much we ordered a few nights later for carry out. They even do brunch here. We'll be back again soon, without a doubt.
Food was awesome. Will be back to try several other things. Everything looked great. Friendly service too.
We have been here many times years ago and loved coming here. But this place had been shuttered for quite a while when the previous owner got sick. Now it is reopened again by the family and it is as nice as it was before. I ordered a cup of chili a Cubano sandwich that was pretty big. It came with fries. My wife and I split the sandwich and fries. The sandwich and fries were pretty good. The chili was good as well. It had scallions and cheese on top. Which added a nice touch to it. The place was not too busy, but was getting pretty busy by the time we left. The food came out hot and pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The decor in this place is pretty much as I remember it. There is a mural on the wall that is a depiction of the many trades in the Cleveland area. And there are other areas of this place that show off the craftmanship that built this country. This place is worth a visit. We will be back again.
So so happy this place has reopened, after being closed for a few years. The atmosphere is so cozy and upscale without being pretentious. Everything sounded good on the menu, which made the choice hard. But we went with the corned beef boxty and it was INCREDIBLE. Two of us shared it and we did not walk away hungry. You have got to try the mustard that comes w the pretzel. GOOD LORD!!! Aside from the delicious food, the drinks were well poured and the service was quick and friendly. In talking with the chef, he said that business has been awesome but just opening, he's still trying to find qualified kitchen staff. Please be patient if you go on a busy night. I think it's worth the extra few minutes you might wait to get a high quality, delicious meal at a great price.
Nice place, much history behind this fine establishment. But they to advertise a bit more. Promote certain night's ( Guardians game specials) ect.. Thursdays maybe a one or two piece acoustic band playing. I had a burger here it was good. I'm sure most of their menu items are good. Just have use your imagination with specials & I hope they utilize there great patio. Good Luck!
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat & drinks- also read The food was excellent, it is.. keep it up. The drinks were good. The craftsmanship on the inside of the bar was awesome to look at. The store and bathrooms were clean. Parking around back.
Had the pretzel with brisket was way too salty mac and cheese was good.Perogies are not the classic as menu states. When I think classic i think potato cheese. These where I think chicken?with definitely pickles. Odd not bad not what I expected. Trivia was fun atmosphere great.
Food was fantastic, servers and bartender where friendly, polite and courteous. Great job !!! We will be back !!
